The post below is from a ministry with boots on the ground in Guatemala. Things are getting serious. People started a week or two ago putting up a white flag to signify they needed help getting food. The flags are so common now that many don’t, or can’t bother stopping to help. The fear among the ministries there is that in about another week kids in remote villages will be starving, not just hungry, but dying of hunger. I’ve sent resources twice in the last 2 weeks to help families with no income and kids, or seniors in the house. I’ve had several other friends from Guatemala calling telling me of places they know of that are in desperate straights. When I asked for help before I was amazed at the number of friends who stepped up. I’m asking everyone to consider helping. We are going through things we never have before here at home, but it is much worse in poorer countries.
Donate if you can. I’ll promise again, everything that comes in will go to buy food for the poor in Guatemala.
